Highlights: Woke up fine and went to Scout Camp. Sudden severe migraine at 3:30 PM. Left camp early and took Ibuprofen at home. Chris also got him a meal from McDonald's on the way home. Improved to moderate migraine.

I was hoping that we would have a migraine-free day and enjoy Scout Camp this weekend. Jack has taken Ibuprofen every day this week, so I really wanted a day off and to avoid a cycle. Jack had so much fun playing sports, exploring, and hiking with his and Eliot's dens. I made sure that he drank lots of water and ate throughout the day.

We weren't sure if we were going to spend the night because it looked like rain, but Jack was so pumped and having a great time that I was about to set up the tent. He and I would brave the rain anyway even if Eliot went home. Jack went off to play frisbee with some friends and came back a few moments later. He curled up in a ball in his chair and said he had a really bad migraine and needed to leave right away. It was about 3:30 pm, just 30 minutes away from the rank ceremony. I had him drink Gatorade and asked if he was sure he needed leave and miss the ceremony and camping. He said yes. The pack leaders quickly put together a fast ceremony just for Jack. Chris then took him home and picked up food.

I was so sad to see him go home early, but I am thankful that we had a good day and that the Ibuprofen helped at home.
