Day Two

Highlights: Woke up without migraine. Migraine began before school; had ibuprofen at school at 11:20 AM. Migraine improved, but continued through the evening. Gave frap for caffeine; may have helped some. Missed soccer practice.

Jack woke up in OK spirits at 6:30 AM. He was tired and took a little while to get out of bed, but it was an easier morning than others. He did not have a migraine when he woke up. He was in a good mood and told some jokes. He claimed that his brother was being too loud at breakfast. Before leaving for school, he said his head was starting to hurt. I offered Ibuprofen, but he didn’t want to take it.

At 11:20 AM, the school nurse called to say he had a headache. She gave Ibuprofen. He was on the way to lunch.

I am looking into MigreLief as a supplement. It may take three months to work. I should probably wait until I see the neurologist to begin this treatment to ask for the brand suggestion and dosing.

Later: After school, Jack said the Ibuprofen helped some, but he still had a headache. I took him to my mom’s to do homework while I picked Eliot up from school. Jack ate when he got home and asked for more Ibuprofen, but it was too early. I bought him a talle caramel frap from Starbucks to see if caffeine would help. He said it helped some. He watched TV and snacked here and there. He did not feel well enough to go to soccer practice. I gave him Cyproheptadine around 7:20 PM and he read two Little Critter books for homework. He did very well.
